Europe is known for iconic churches and cathedrals and France is no exception. Beautiful churches can be found all around Nice.
La Cathédrale Sainte-Reparate:
One day while exploring Vieille Ville (the Old Town) I stumbled upon the Cathedral of Ste. Reparate. On this day the cathedral doors stood open, welcoming the public– lucky me!
The Cathedral of Ste. Reparate was built over a period of 49 years, from 1650 to 1699, and houses the remains of its namesake. Located at 3, Place Rossetti, the cathedral is easily accessible – just a short walk from the Cathédrale – and Opéra – Vieille Ville tram stops. The Baroque-style building also serves as the cathedral of the Diocese of Nice.
