About

Hello everyone! For those of you who don’t know, my name is Alyson. I’m a recent graduate of the Master of Urban and Regional Planning program at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I studied French and Economics at U of M as well during my undergraduate years.

I was accepted to be a participant in TAPIF (Teaching Assistant Program in France) for the 2015-2016 year. I created this blog as a way for friends and family to share in my adventures in France and to serve as a resource for future TAPIFers interested in finding out more about the program. I spent 7 months working with students at Lycée Renoir in Cagnes-sur-Mer, a suburb of Nice, France.

There was an incident..I was on crutches.. thankfully I no longer need them!

After 8 amazing months in the South of France, I moved back to Michigan for a little over a year. In September of 2017 I moved to Bethesda, Maryland (just outside of DC) to start a new job. I’m still passionate about travel and the thrill of getting lost in new places.

Thanks for joining me on my adventures!
